Line we supply Knurling, marking & machining-centre equipment
Platinum Tooling.
QUICK cut and form knurling and roll marking, built by Hommel + Keller and supplied here through Platinum Tooling. Cut knurling for visual work, thin-walled parts and difficult materials, with zero or minimal alteration to the workpiece diameter. Form knurling anywhere on the part, up to a shoulder, on the face or internally, as a chip-free cold-forming process. Roll marking that puts part numbers, batch data and logos on in-cycle on most CNC turning and milling centres instead of as a secondary operation. Swiss-type work is covered down to small diameters. Supplied and supported through ISG.
Production knurling, marking and roll stampingWhat we carry
Knurling and marking are secondary operations that shouldn't need a second setup. Done in-cycle, they cost seconds; done off-line, they cost a handling step and a chance to scrap a finished part.

QUICK cut knurling
Hommel + Keller QUICK · cut knurling
Cutting the knurl rather than forming it — the answer when the part is thin-walled, the material is difficult, or the diameter must not move.
For challenging visual knurling
Suits thin-walled workpieces and difficult-to-machine materials
Zero or minimal alteration to workpiece diameter
Faster cutting speed and feed rate than forming

QUICK form knurling
Hommel + Keller QUICK · form knurling
Cold-formed, chip-free knurling that can go almost anywhere on the part — up to a shoulder, on the face, or inside a bore.
Knurling possible anywhere on the workpiece, up to a shoulder
Front/face and internal knurling
All knurling shapes and profiles
Cold forming — a chip-free process

QUICK roll marking
Part marking in-cycle
Part numbers, batch data, article names and logos rolled on during the machining cycle rather than in a secondary operation.
Integrates into the cycle on most CNC turning and milling centres
Interchangeable letters, numbers, characters or custom segments
Spring-return design for consistent, complete marking
Marking possible on difficult workpiece geometries

Swiss-type knurling
Small-diameter work
The same QUICK program taken down to Swiss diameters, where a forming load the part cannot take is the usual reason knurling gets sent out.
Knurling tools for Swiss-type lathes from Ø 1.5 mm
Cut or form, specified to the material and the wall thickness
Supplied and supported through ISG
